Most would agree that music is a great escape from the realities of life but only a select few have the gift to create that music that inspires and enriches our lives. Big Tezz is one of the fortunate ones to have such talent. Music always being an unstoppable force in his life, Tezz enrolled in The School of the Performing Arts in Cincinnati where he learned how to play various instruments including piano, bass, trombone and his own singing voice. It was during the transition from the street life to the classroom that Tezz discovered his own escape from reality and began turning negative displaced energy from the pressures of street life and family dysfunction into story-telling musical masterpieces.

While developing his repertoire, Tezz had the opportunity to tour as a performer, opening for such acts as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Made Men & Ms. Toi. As his song catalog continued to grow, Tezz found the best outlet for his creative expression to be in his song-writing. In pursuit of the All-American dream: "Do what you love and money will follow," Tezz left Ohio with faith, twenty-one dollars and a one-way ticket bound for Los Angeles.

Since his arrival on the LA music scene, Tezz has teamed up with hitmakers Anthony Dent (Destiny's Child's "Survivor", Jay-Z, Mya, 112), The Co-Stars (3LW, Sisqo), One-Eye (Ice Cube) and continues to add to his catalog of over 50 songs. Tezz's motto of "When you do something different and hot at the same time, you can't lose," is already proving itself true. He acquired his first major label release on Bell Biv Devoe's latest effort with another Ground Breaking Music's writer/producer, Dave Hummel.

Now that he has obtained professional management and is being introduced to the business side of music, Tezz, having signed a publishing agreement with Ground Breaking Music in Atlanta, is being received with open arms by producers, artists and creative execs alike.
