Producer / Writer
/ Arranger
In the music industry sometimes you have to look behind the
scenes to find the real talent. Nowhere is that more true than among
the industrys producers. It takes a scan of the credits to uncover
the true grit behind the hits. But even still sometimes you have to
look past the bright lights and celebrity to see the raw and genuine
talent just beneath the surface.
Few of those unheralded producers behind the music
scenes loom larger than French. As a producer, writer and arranger,
his talents are multi-faceted. His production savvy can be heard on
Im Not Finished on B2Ks debut album as well
as the first single Youre Gonna Miss Me on Alexander
ONeils album. Hes written and arranged for some of
the industrys best including Shep Crawford (Deborah Cox, Whitney
Houston, Tamia and Yolanda Adams), Sam Salter (Arista), Trey Lorenz
(Sony), Dante (RCA), and Jean Style (Columbia).
Frenchs way with music was honed not long after
he was born in Inglewood California. His first musical influence came
from his father a seasoned keyboardist whose music accompanied
celebrities like Barry White. Frenchs musical prowess was developed
as he played drums in his hometown church, played keyboard in his high
school marching band, and attained a degree in music from the University
of North Alabama. From there, he lent his musical talent to writing/producing
jingles for local businesses.
The future for French includes spearheading a multimedia
corporation that emphasizes film and video game composition.
Ground Breaking Music Publishing recently signed
French as a songwriter/ producer. Ground Breaking CEO, Albert Mac
McKissack, says, French is building a career in the industry that
will establish his longevity and innovate the new face of R&B/Pop
music.
