When it comes to fancy expensive cars, its always
best to get the full package. But when it comes to songwriters,
its an especially sweet bonus. Thats just what Ground Breaking
Music Publishing got when they signed Angela (angie) Irons.
As a singer, songwriter, arranger, and up-and-coming producer,
angie (small a), brings serious firepower to an already
highly talented Ground Breaking arsenal.
The world first got a taste of angie when she was a recording
artist on Atlantic records, signed by (now Exec. VP Urban Music) Merlin
Bobb. On an album on which she wrote, co-wrote, and co-produced all
of the songs, angie experienced Top 20 success when her song If
She Knew climbed to #16 on the Billboard charts.
As her artist career began to slow down, angie dove behind
the scenes and went on to work on projects with such producers as: Jermaine
Dupri (Silk x Leather, Da Brat, Jagged Edge); Roy Hamilton (Joe, R.
Kelly, Kelly Price); Troy Taylor of The Characters (Babyface,
Boz II Men, Brian McKnight, Tyrese), and Greg Charley (Gerald LeVert,
702, Aretha Franklin).
Angies a breath of fresh air, says
Charley.
I love working with her.
and she has the
talent and the look to still be a great artist.
Says Taylor,
shes dope. Shes quick
and
she can arrange her butt off
The first thing I fell in love with was Angies
voice, says Stone Stafford, Creative Director Sony/ATV
Music Publishing. But along with that, I like how she comes up
with what I call radio melodies, and shes a phenomenal
lyricist. I can see shes going to quickly become one the industrys
go-to talents.
Albert McKissack, President/CEO Ground Breaking
Music says, Im really impressed with Angies writing.
I like the fact that I can put her with any producer and know that there
will be a productive session and a quality song at the end of the day.
Ladies and Gentlemen: angie.
